Apprentice Policies & Procedures

APPRENTICES
Apprentices are those who are registered in the PGA Professional Golf Management Program (PGM). To register in the PGA PGM Program or to see a list of eligibility requirements please visit http://www.pgalinks.com/.

PRE-APPRENTICES
Pre-Apprentices are those who are registered with the Indiana Section and making the necessary steps to register in the Professional Golf Management Program but have not met all the necessary requirements.

TOURNAMENTS
Apprentices registered in the PGA PGM Program and Pre-Apprentices registered with the Indiana Section are eligible to play in the following tournaments so long as they have met the requirements in (parenthesis) below:

To register for any of these events, click on the Schedule link under the Section Events menu.

A. Passed PAT.
B. Passed 2008 Indiana Section Rules Test
C. Attended 16 hours of education from the 2007 Fall Meeting or 2008 Spring Meeting. More information on education programs
D. Registered in the PGA PGM Program.
E. Required to pay the Indiana PGA Player's Fee ($125)

INDIANA SECTION REGISTRATION
All Pre-Apprentices in the Indiana Section should register with the Section. Registering with the Indiana Section will verify your employment. Employment verification will be required to register in the Professional Golf Management Program.

INDIANA PGA PLAYER'S FEE
In order to participate in selected Indiana Section PGA events, ALL apprentices and pre-apprentices are required to pay a $125 player's fee.

SECTION EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
The Indiana Section PGA requires all Apprentices and Pre-Apprentices to attended a minimum of 16 hours of education, each year, to be eligible for events. Education can be earned by attending the Indiana Section Spring or Fall Business Meeting or the Winter Workshops. All other education must be approved by the Indiana Section PGA.
