PGA Pepsi Club Car Tournament Series #1

Site: Meridian Hills CC, Indianapolis

Date: April 21

Entry Fee: $110 ($125 Player’s Fee required) Includes cart fees.

Registration Deadline: Monday, April 7

Eligibility: Indiana PGA Members in good standing (excluding A-3’s) or approved player apprentices.

Field Size: 120

Format: 18 holes, Stroke Play.

Awards: Although competing from separate tees, men and women professionals will compete for the same purse.

PGA Southern Open

Site: Bloomington CC, Bloomington

Date: May 5

Entry Fee: Professionals - $110 ($125 Player’s Fee required) Amateurs - $95. Includes cart fees

Registration Deadline: Monday, April 21

Eligibility: Indiana PGA members in good standing, excluding A-3’s, or approved player apprentices. Indiana amateurs with a current IGA-PGA GHIN handicap index not exceeding 6.4

Field Size: 156

Format: 18 holes, stroke play

Awards: Purse is entry fees plus added money. Merchandise certificates will be awarded to amateurs based on the number of entries.

Note: PGA Dress Code applies to all participants

PGA Senior Open

Site: Otter Creek GC, Columbus

Date: May 13-14

Entry Fee: Professional - $110 Amateur - $85. Includes cart fees for both rounds.

Registration Deadline: Tuesday, April 29

Eligibility: Indiana PGA Members in good standing (excluding A-3’s), or approved player apprentices who have reached the age of 50 on or before the first day of competition or Indiana amateurs with a current IGA-PGA GHIN handicap index not exceeding 12.4 who have reached the age of 50 on or before the first day of competition.

Field Size: 156

Format: 36 holes, stroke play. Field will be cut to the low 60 and ties for the second round.

Awards: Expected purse $14,000. Merchandise certificates will be warded to amateurs based on the number of entries.

Note: PGA Dress Code applies for all participants.

PGA Pro President

Site: The Sagamore Club, Noblesville

Date: May 15

Entry Fee: $180 per team. Includes cart fees, lunch and cocktail party.

Registration Deadline: Thursday, May 1

Eligibility: Professional must be an Indiana PGA member in good standing (excluding A-3’s) or approved player apprentice. President must have a current IGA-PGA GHIN approved handicap index.

Field Size: 60 teams

Format: 18 holes, stroke play. Presidents receive 80% of their handicap. 1:00 shotgun start. Reception follows golf.

Awards: Merchandise certificates will be awarded to amateurs based on the number of entries.

Note: Amateurs in this event may wear shorts.

PGA Indianapolis Open

Site: Heartland Crossing Golf Links, Camby

Date: May 19-20

Entry Fee: Professional - $135 ($125 Player’s Fee required) Amateur - $115. Includes cart fees for both rounds.

Eligibility: Indiana PGA Members in good standing, excluding A-3’s, or approved player apprentices and Indiana amateurs with a current IGA-PGA GHIN handicap index not exceeding 6.4.

Format: 36 holes, stroke play. Field will be cut to the low 60 and ties for second round.

Format: 18 holes, Four Ball Stroke Play, Scratch

Awards: Men and women professionals will compete for the same purse, despite playing from different tees. Merchandise certificates will be awarded to amateurs based on number of entries.

PGA Northern Open

PGA Women’s Open

Site: The Legends of Indiana, Franklin, Indiana

Date: June 30-July 1

Entry Fee: Professionals and Amateurs both - $90. Includes cart and range fees for both rounds.

Registration Deadline: Monday, June 16

Eligibility: Indiana PGA Members or approved player apprentices, Indiana LPGA professionals or apprentices and amateurs with a current IGA-PGA GHIN handicap index.

Field Size: 120

Format: 36 holes, stroke play

Note: PGA Dress Code for women applies to all participants.

PGA Indiana Open

Site: Prairie View GC, Carmel

Date: July 7-10

Entry Fee: Professional and Indiana resident non-amateur - $160 ($125 Player’s Fee required). Amateur - $120. All players, including exempt players must submit an official entry prior to the deadline.

Registration Deadline: Friday, June 6

Eligibility: Indiana resident Professionals and Indiana resident amateurs who possess a current IGA-PGA GHIN Handicap index not exceeding 10.4.

Field Size: 156

Format: 72 holes, stroke play. Field will be cut to the low 70 and ties after 36 holes.

Awards: Lowest score for 72 holes will be the champion. Champion and runner-up will receive awards. Professionals making the cut will receive cash. Amateurs making the cut will receive merchandise certificates.

Note: PGA Dress Code applies to all players.

PGA Senior Pro Am

Site: Brickyard Crossing GC, Indianapolis

Date: July 17-18

Entry Fee: $250 per team

Registration Deadline: Thursday, July 3

Eligibility: Professional – Indiana PGA Members in good standing, (excluding A-3’s) or approved player apprentice who has reached the age of 50 on or before July 17, 2008. Indiana amateurs who have reached the age of 50 on or before July 17, 2008 and who possess a current IGA-PGA GHIN approved handicap index.

Field Size: 60 teams

Format: 36 holes, Four Ball Stroke Play, Scratch.

Awards: Merchandise certificates will be awarded to amateurs based on the number of entries.

Note: All male Professionals must wear slacks and shall not wear shorts during any tournament round(s). Amateurs participating in this event may wear shorts.

PGA Pro Assistants

Site: Anderson CC, Anderson

Date: July 21

Entry Fee: $160 per team ($125 Player’s Fee required)

Registration Deadline: Monday, July 7

Eligibility: Professional – Indiana PGA member in good standing, (excluding A-3’s). A-1, A-2, A-4, A-6, and A-13’s may team with an A-8, Apprentice or Pre-Apprentice. Assistant – PGA Assistant, approved player apprentice or pre-apprentice who has met the required guidelines as stated in the Indiana Section PGA Tournament Rules and Regulations. Both the Professional and the Assistant must be employed at the same facility.

Field Size: 60 Teams

Format: 36 holes, 18 holes Four Ball and 18 holes “Pinehurst” Alternate Shot.

Awards: Although competing from separate tees, men and women professionals will compete for the same purse.

Note: Assistants entering do not have to pay the Player’s Fee.

PGA-PGA Father-Son and Family Championships

Site: Kokomo CC, Kokomo

Date: July 31

Entry Fee: $60 per team member. Includes cart fees and lunch.

Registration Deadline: Friday, July 6

Eligibility: Indiana PGA members and Apprentices, Indiana amateurs who are affiliated with IGA-PGA member clubs and have a current IGA-PGA GHIN approved handicap index. Entrants must be 14 or older as of July 31, 2008.

Field Size: 200

Format: 18 holes, Four Ball Competition. Divisions include overall, father/son (gross and net), father/daughter (gross and net), mother/son (gross and net), and mother/daughter (gross and net). A parent may compete with more than one child. Parent’s score will be counted with each entered child’s score for that particular team.

PGA State Junior Pro Am

Site: Ackerman Hills GC, West Lafayette

Date: August 3

Entry Fee: $130 per team. Includes cart fees and lunch.

Registration Deadline: Monday, July 21

Eligibility: Indiana PGA Members in good standing, excluding A-3’s, or approved player Apprentices. Juniors must be members of the golf professional’s club. High school graduates are only eligible the summer immediately following his or her high school graduation and must not have reached their 20th birthday on or before August 3, 2008.

Field Size: 60 teams

Format: 1 Professional + 3 Juniors. Best Ball of four.

Awards: Team Champions based upon one best ball of four. Individual junior champion based on low gross. All ties will be broken by a scorecard backup.

Note: PGA Dress Code applies to Professionals only. Juniors may wear shorts.

Defending Champions: Woodland CC

PGA Assistant Championship

Site: Hulman Links, Terre Haute

Date: August 4-5

Entry Fee: $180. Includes cart, range and lunch between first and second round.

Registration Deadline: Monday, July 21

Eligibility: All A-8’s registered in the Indiana Section. Apprentices who are registered in the PGM program, passed the PAT, passed the Indiana Section rules test and attended 16 hours of education. Pre-Apprentices who have passed the PAT, have registered with the Indiana Section, have attended 16 hours of education and have passed the Indiana Section rules test. Pre-Apprentices are NOT eligible to advance to the National Assistants Championship.

Field Size: 120

Format: 54 holes, stroke play. Monday, August 6 – 36 holes. Tuesday, August 7 – 18 holes. There will be no 36-hole cut.

Awards: men and women professionals will compete for the same purse despite playing from separate tees.

Note: Only A-8’s and Approved Player Apprentices are eligible for the National Assistants Championship October 25-28 at PGA Golf Club, Port St. Lucie, Florida.

IGA-PGA Challenge Cup

Site: Brickyard Crossing GC, Indianapolis, Indiana

Entry Fee: $110

PGA McGladrey Team Championship Section Qualifier

PGA Professionals Championship

Site: Country Club of Indianapolis, Indianapolis

Date: August 18-19

Entry Fee: $135 to be paid to PGA National Office ($125 Player’s Fee required)

Registration Deadline: Thursday, July 3 to PGA National Office.

Eligibility: Indiana PGA Members in good standing (excluding A-3’s) and who are eligibly employed.

Field Size: 120

Format: 54 holes, stroke play. August 14 – 36 holes, no cut. August 15 - 18 holes. PGA National Championship qualifiers will be decided by 54 hole total.

Awards: Men and women professionals will compete for the same purse despite playing from separate tees.

Defending Champion: John DalCorrobo

PGA Pro Lady

Site: Harbour Trees GC, Noblesville

Date: August 28

Entry Fee: $210 per team. ($125 Player’s Fee required). Included cart fees and reception.

Registration Deadline: Thursday, August 14

Eligibility: Indiana PGA Members in good standing (excluding A-3’s) or approved player apprentices. Ladies must have a current IGA-PGA GHIN approved handicap index. Ladies must present handicap card on day of tournament.

Field Size: 36 teams. One team per club allowed unless field does not fill.

Format: 1 Professional + 3 Ladies. One Best Ball of four. Ladies will receive 100% of handicap. There will be a blind draw Pro-Pro division.

Awards: Merchandise certificates will be awarded to amateurs based on the number of entries.

Note: PGA Dress Code must be followed.

Defending Champions: Morningstar GC


PGA Senior Professionals Championship

Site: Woodland CC , Carmel

Date: September 3-4

Entry Fee: $110

Registration Deadline: Wednesday, August 20

Eligibility: Indiana PGA Members in good standing (excluding A-3’s) who have reached the age of 50 on or before September 3, 2008, the first day of the National Senior PGA Professional Championship.

Format: 36 holes, stroke play. Qualification for National Senior PGA Professional Championship. Overall and Super Seniors ages 60 and over divisions.

Awards: Men and women professionals will compete for the same purse despite playing from separate tees.

Note: Additional entry fee for the national championship is required.

Superintendent or assistant superintendent who is a member of the Indiana GCSA, Tri-State GCSA, Michiana GCSA or Hoosier Turfgrass. Superintendent must have a current IGA-PGA GHIN approved handicap index.

Field Size: 60 teams

Format: 18 holes, Four Ball Stroke Play. 100 % handicap for superintendent.

Awards: Merchandise certificates will be awarded to amateurs based on the number of entries. Although competing from different tees, men and women professionals will compete for the same purse.
